Pet Membership

Pet Membership

The mission of the Humane Society of Marion County, Inc. is to prevent cruelty, suffering and overpopulation of animals through education, housing and financial support.

become a member

When you become a member of the HSMC, you are demonstrating your commitment to homeless animals. HSMC does not receive any government support. However, our work doesn’t stop at shelter. There are many other services and programs that we participate in to further our mission which is to prevent cruelty, suffering and over-population of animals through education, housing and outreach. Our goal is to find forever homes for 1,600 animals a year. Memberships range from $15 for juniors and seniors, all the way to $1,000 as a sustaining life member.

But wait, there’s more! We have just added a new membership for your pet! Dogs and cats already in their forever home would be part of the support and solution in finding forever homes for their brethren. With the pet’s membership, send us a picture in addition to the money and we will post your pet’s picture on our website. Your pet will receive his/her own membership card good for one year. Your pet becomes a member of the HSMC for only $10.

help save a life

“Hi, I am Tom Ingram, CEO of Gateway Bank and I serve on the Board of Directors of the Humane Society of Marion County. I am also a member of the organization and I personally know how membership helps. When I found out that a “Pet Membership” category was being added I said I want to be the first to sign my guys up, Snoopy & Belle, are now members, animals supporting animals. My dogs and cat already have their forever home and they want to make sure everyone else gets theirs.”
