Court-Ordered & Pretrial Volunteers If you need community service hours for court, PreTrial Diversion, or PreTrial Intervention (PTI), you can complete them through our Court Program.

How to Get Started:

  1. Fill out an application.

  2. Wait up to 72 hours to hear from staff via email.

  3. Follow the instructions in the email and fill out your agreement (found in the email).

  4. Visit the Humane Society: 701 NW 14th Rd Ocala FL 34475. Please visit us during our business hours (Monday – Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM) and bring the following information:

  • Valid ID

  • Hours sheet from your P.O. or sentencing agency (we also have a generic form available).

  • $10 cash administrative fee

  1. Start Immediately: You may start volunteering immediately if shifts are available.

Hours: Once you are signed up, you may come in as early as 7 AM and stay as late as 6 PM.

Please note that if you need your hours closed out, signed off on, or sent off, you can only do so during business hours (Monday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM).

Eligibility & Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old.

We must have available space in the program.

Dress Code: Please adhere to the following dress code:

  • No short shorts, fingertip length required, pants preferred

  • Mandatory: No sandals or flip-flops. Shoes must be rubber-soled, closed-toed shoes.

  • No tank or tube tops; no bare midriff showing.

  • No revealing and/or offensive clothing.

  • Please note that clothes may get dirty and/or be exposed to bleach.
