Humane Education › Shelter Tours & Field Trips
A behind-the-scenes look at animal care and rescue operations.
Students and community groups are welcome to visit our shelter for a behind-the-scenes look at animal care and rescue operations. These tours offer a hands-on learning experience and inspire a love for animals.
Tours are a great fit for school groups, scout troops, youth organizations, and community clubs. Participants get to see how we care for animals every day and learn about the importance of animal welfare in our community.
Reach out to our Humane Education Coordinator, Aimee Pritchard, to schedule your group's visit. Tours are subject to availability and must be arranged in advance.
HSMC staff are available to speak at community events, civic organizations, schools, and professional groups about animal welfare, humane education, and the work we do in Marion County.
Whether you're hosting a club meeting, a school assembly, or a community event, we'd love to share our mission and inspire compassion for animals in your audience.
To request a speaking engagement, contact our Humane Education Coordinator, Aimee Pritchard, at [email protected].
