Today we honor the brave K9 veterans who served with loyalty and courage. 🐾🇺🇸
One of those heroes was K9 Leo. In February 2024, Leo and his handler responded to a dangerous call. When a suspect began shooting at deputies, Leo did what he was trained to do — he ran toward the danger to protect his handler and the other deputies on scene.
Leo was shot in the line of duty. He fought for several days, but his injuries were too severe. He passed away on February 20, 2024.
Because of Leo’s bravery, his handler made it home safely. His loyalty and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

This Thankful Thursday, we’re sending a big thank you to Top Notch Tree Care and professional services for their incredible help this past Sunday!
Their team spent the day doing extensive tree trimming and removal around our property, helping make the shelter safer and cleaner for our animals, staff, and visitors. Projects like this make a huge difference for us, and we’re so grateful for their time, hard work, and generosity. 🌳💚
